|
Position Objectives:
The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) position in a Basic Health Unit (BHU) serves a key role in promoting maternal and child health within the community. Position service includes providing prenatal, postnatal, and family planning services, as well as educating women and families on childcare, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. This position plays a pivotal part in primary healthcare by diagnosing and treating minor ailments, supporting early detection of health issues, and referring patients to specialized care when necessary.

Monitor and promote infant and young child health, administering immunizations, growth tracking, and nutrition counseling.
|

Address common health issues in children and refer severe cases to higher-level healthcare facilities.
|

|
Diagnoses and treats minor illnesses and common ailments, managing cases within the scope of primary care.
|
|

|
Collaborate with other BHU staff to deliver integrated primary healthcare services.
|

|
Screen for common health conditions and refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers for specialized care.

|
Diagnoses and treat minor illnesses and common ailments, managing cases within the scope of primary care.

Work closely with other BHU team members, including medical officers, nurses, and Hygiene promoters to deliver comprehensive healthcare.

|
Respond to urgent health needs in the community when required, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.

|
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient consultations, treatments, and health services provided.
|
|
11
|
Prepare reports on health services delivered, maternal care, and other related data for submission to supervisors.

Education.
|
| |
BA / BSc with 2-year Diploma in Lady Health Visiting (LHV) from a recognized institution. Must be a valid PNC card holder.
|
|
Experience.
|
| |
02 years’ experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a community or primary healthcare role.
|

Skills / Knowledge.
|
| |

Maximum age limit, up to 40 years.
