Job Purpose

The Intern will provide support to the project team by assisting with various tasks related to mobilization, training attendance, and daily operations. This includes helping with community engagement, ensuring smooth coordination during training sessions, tracking attendance, and helping in other operational tasks as required. The role is designed to give intern exposure to project operations, logistics, and fieldwork in a community-driven program.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the mobilization and outreach activities to engage and recruit participants for the training programs, ensuring diverse and inclusive participation.
  2. Help organize and manage logistics for training sessions, including setting up venues, preparing training materials, and coordinating with trainers and participants.
  3. Track and record training attendance on a daily basis, ensuring accurate documentation of participants' presence.
  4. Assist in managing participant records, including collecting and organizing documents such as sign-in sheets, feedback forms, and evaluation reports.
  5. Provide administrative support during training sessions by distributing materials, assisting participants, and addressing any logistical needs.
  6. Collaborate with the project team to monitor the progress of training activities, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any challenges that may arise.
  7. Help with the preparation of reports and presentations on training progress, attendance, and participant feedback.
  8. Assist with the preparation of promotional materials and communication for outreach campaigns to ensure effective mobilization efforts.
  9. Support the project manager and other staff with day-to-day operations, including coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and preparing documents.
  10. Participate in meetings and discussions related to program operations, contributing ideas and insights as needed.
  11. Assist with data entry, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to training activities, attendance, and project outcomes.
  12. Support the team in any additional tasks related to the project’s implementation, such as organizing community events or assisting with monitoring and evaluation activities.


 

Performance Indicators

 

  • Accuracy and timeliness of attendance records and participant documentation.
  • Efficiency and effectiveness in mobilization efforts, with a focus on engaging the target community.
  • Quality and completeness of logistical support during training sessions.
  • Participation in meetings and contribution to project planning and problem-solving.
  • Feedback from project team members regarding the intern's organizational and communication skills.
  • Successful completion of assigned tasks, including administrative support, report preparation, and data entry.
  • The intern’s ability to learn and adapt to new tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
  • Active participation in community engagement and mobilization efforts, contributing to the success of outreach activities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of community engagement, education, or skills development programs is a plus

 

Experience

  • Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience in community engagement, training programs, or administrative support is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people and in team-based environments.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in supporting project operations.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding community dynamics and cultural sensitivity.
