Provide strategic leadership and direction for the implementation of locally lead adaptation project.

Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.

Oversee project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.

Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community partners. Through intensive dialogue with communities, PRCS at provincial and district levels, local and national authorities, and other relevant stakeholders, assist in planning/development/implementation process of appropriate PRCS branch activities, exchanges and coordination mechanisms to increase the communities’ resilience against the impacts of climate change in rural and urban environments.

Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective coordination and communication.

Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess project progress and impact.

Regularly report on project status to internal and external stakeholders.

Identify potential risks and challenges and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Monitor and address issues promptly to maintain project timelines and deliverables.

Facilitate training sessions and capacity-building initiatives for project staff and community partners.

Promote a learning culture within the team, encouraging professional development.

Facilitate in data gathering, data analysis and in development of research-based reports, research papers and articles as inputs to publications, etc.

Be available for frequent field visits to project areas of community-based activities.

Prepares various written outputs in close coordination with the Program Manager e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies.

Assist in the coordination of evaluations (internal and external) including drafting Terms of Reference, liaising with local and international organizations, partners, and independent experts and research institutions.

Coordinate activities related to budget and funding (programme preparation and submissions, progress reports, etc) and prepare related documents/reports.

Provide substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc., to including proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations, etc.

Actively engage in the results-based management planning and reporting process.

Ensure adequate project documentation, archiving of best practices, regular financial and narrative reporting according to agreed deadlines.

Facilitate in conducting stakeholder analysis on national, provincial, district and community levels to ensure participation and ownership of PRCS on all levels.

Support project team in development of early warning systems at community and district level.

Performs other duties as required by Program Manager.

Increasing nature-based solutions and ecosystem-based DRR wherever it is effective.

Support the growth and development of strong National Societies preparedness programmes for climate-related disasters.

Working with local authorities (especially in urban settings), meteorological agencies, public health officials and other stakeholders to develop heatwave early action plans and early warning systems.

Supporting transformative change towards climate-smart economic security interventions including the promotion of agricultural practices and inputs adapted to the weather and development of carbon-neutral livelihood sources in urban areas.

Promoting the transition towards agroecology-based farming and food systems along the entire value chain.

Increasing the protection of agroecosystems and use of nature-based solutions to reduce climate shocks and securing ecosystem services, including in fragile and conflict affected areas.
