M&E Intern.
Chemonics International seeks an Intern for Business Enabling Environment (BEE) Component for its USAID Small and Medium Enterprises Activity (SMEA). Pakistan SMEA is a 5-year, $35 million project that is aimed at improvement of financial and operating performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan in selected high-performing industrial, manufacturing and services sectors.
1.Objective and specific tasks
The objective of this assignment is to support SMEA’s M&E team in the implementation of project activity monitoring and evaluation plan (AMEP) by assisting in data management, verification, analysis and data collection.
Specific Tasks:
- Assist SMEA M&E team in the implementation of the project Activity Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (AMEP), and other M&E systems;
- Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate and innovative M&E tools, reporting guidelines for new project activities with an aim to improve the overall M&E system of the project;
- Assist in drafting Scope of Works (SOWs) / Terms of References (TORs) and concept papers for various M&E tasks including but not limited to routing monitoring, surveys, assessments, evaluations and other relevant studies;
- Assist in uploading project data to Chemonics’s Dev Results system and activity trackers
- Assist M&E team in data audits and verifications to ensure that the collected data is accurate and maintain the integrity of the project;
- Collect and/or verify M&E data of the project activities through visits to the project locations, when needed;
- Assist in conducting beneficiaries’ interviews, focus group discussions and verification visits to the project sites as per the instruction from the M&E Lead;
- Assist M&E Lead in preparing project status reports including but not limited to weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
- Perform other monitoring and evaluation tasks as needed;
Duration of the Assignment:
This internship is planned to take place as per a start date around August 01, 2019 and end date of on or around October 31, 2019 (subject to date of mobilization) for a total period of 3 months.
Duty Post: The individual will be based in Islamabad and will be working closely with the M&E team.
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Studies, IT or any other related field.
- Prior experience of working on data base systems, MS excel, M&E indicators will be preferred
- Ability to perform successfully as a member of multiple project-related teams;
- Excellent communications and writing ability in English;
- Demonstrated successful interpersonal skills;
