Wildlife Mammalogist

Job Description:

• Mammal inventory incl. threatened, endemic, keystone species 
• Mammal surveys: camera trapping, sign, pellet/dung counts, line transects 
• Abundance, density, occupancy, population size; camera-trap analysis 
• Population structure: age classes, sex ratio, recruitment, herd size (; inputs to Deliverables 

Required Experiance:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional/research experience
• Identification and taxonomy of wild mammals
• Diversity, distribution and population surveys
• Camera trapping and camera-trap data analysis
• Interpretation of indirect signs; estimation of abundance, density, occupancy
• Population structure and dynamics (sex ratio, age, recruitment, herd size) 
• Work in subtropical, temperate, sub-alpine and alpine ecosystems

Required Qualification:

• At least MPhil/MS in Wildlife Sciences, Zoology, Ecology, Mammalogy or closely related field. PhD or specialized mammal research experience preferred
