Job Description:

Position Objective and Specific Tasks:

A new outreach/Mobile vaccination initiative is being launched to enhance Immunization and integrated service package accessibility in Urban and Peri urban, Rural and underserved communities. This project requires a dedicated Field Performance Monitor to ensure for a crucial role in monitoring and supporting the field operations and successful implementation of demand generation and service delivery. Filed Performance Monitor will support project staff in implementing outreach/mobile integrated vaccination initiatives and ensure that all efforts align with project objectives. Reporting to the project coordinator the Field Officer will collaborate closely with local health teams & project staff to ensure seamless field operations and the successful execution of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support social mobilization and outreach/mobile integration unit activities in assigned cluster/UCs.
  • Validate Micro plans (Desk & Field) of vaccinators to be aligned with project objectives.
  • Validate social profile & activities of SM and validate and assess the effectiveness of awareness and sensitization among communities with hesitancy.
  • Support district staff in implementing vaccination strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure that vaccination efforts align with project objectives, particularly in identifying and reaching low immunity areas.
  • Collaborate with local health & UC level staff to ensure smooth and effective field operations.
  • Monitor and report outreach/Mobile unit vaccination and social mobilizers activities to the Project Coordinator.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly field visit plans and submission of Project coordinator.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly report of activities.
  • Address challenges in the field and provide recommendations for improving outreach/mobile and communication activities effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Strong coordination with and communication with assigned staff.
  • Provide Logistic support when required by project staff in coordination with Project coordinator.
  • Any other task assigned by project coordinator.
  • Assist Project Coordinator in the review and compilation of weekly/monthly progress report.
  • Immediately report any unusual finding and/or incident happening in the field.

 Educational Requirements and Skills. 

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant discipline.
  • At least two years of relevant field working experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience with health sector NGO. 
  • Strong knowledge of field and result oriented approach.
  • Strong knowledge of Ms Office and mobile/Web based application.
  • Ability to find solution and to solve problem.
  • Strong communication and writing skills and willingness to travel in the field.
  • Ability to achieve key project indicators.
  • Skills in organizing and record keeping.
  • Capacity to work individually and within a team and team managing and building qualities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
