Job Summary

We are hiring a Field Civil Engineer to oversee site assessments, construction activities, quality checks, and technical reporting for development projects. The role ensures that field works meet engineering standards, donor requirements, and organizational guidelines.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys, site assessments, and technical evaluations.

  • Oversee construction/rehabilitation works and ensure compliance with drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for the program team and donors.

  • Verify contractor work, materials, measurements, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with contractors, communities, vendors, and project staff.

  • Support preparation of engineering designs, cost estimates, and work plans.

  • Ensure safety standards and environmental compliance on all sites.

  • Assist in monitoring, verification, and final handover of completed works.

 


 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (PEC registration preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of field experience, ideally with NGOs or development projects.

  • Strong skills in site supervision, BOQs, technical drawings, and quality control.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of GIS or surveying tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in field conditions and travel frequently to project sites.

  • Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
