Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Scientist to support data-driven decision-making across our programs. The role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, creating dashboards, and generating insights to strengthen project outcomes and reporting.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze program, field, and survey datasets to identify trends and insights.

  • Build predictive models, statistical analyses, and forecasting tools.

  • Develop dashboards and automated reports (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

  • Clean, validate, and structure large data sets for M&E and program teams.

  • Support digital data collection (KoBo, ODK, DHIS2) and data quality checks.

  • Collaborate with program, M&E, and management teams to translate data into recommendations.

  • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with donor/organizational standards.

  • Provide guidance and training to staff on basic data interpretation and visualization.

 


 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics.

  • Strong skills in Python/R, machine learning, and statistical modeling.

  • Proficiency in SQL and working with structured/unstructured data.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

  • Familiarity with NGO/development-sector data workflows is highly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
