Job Summary
We are hiring a Data Engineer to support data systems, reporting, and information management across our projects. The role involves developing data pipelines, managing databases, and ensuring reliable, high-quality data for program needs.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.

Manage and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.

Integrate data from field tools (ODK/KoBo/DHIS2).

Automate data cleaning and validation workflows.
-
Support dashboards and reporting (Power BI, Tableau).

Ensure data quality, security, and backup.
-
Provide technical support and basic staff training on data tools.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field.

5+ years’ experience in data engineering or similar role.

Strong SQL and database management skills.

Experience with ETL, data modeling, and reporting tools.
-
NGO/development-sector experience preferred.
-
Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
