Relevant Experience:

 

  • Experience or qualifications in allied health, legal or insurance industries, ideally with experience in interpreting medico-legal reports – highly regarded.

  • Experience in utilising the AMA Guides and WorkCover Guides for assessing permanent impairment and disability assessments is desirable.

  • Outstanding literacy skills including comprehension, spelling and grammar, with a high attention to detail.

  • A secure, ergonomic home office set up with high-speed internet access and access to and knowledge of Microsoft office.

Job Description:


  • Review medico-legal reports in accordance with the established quality framework, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all medico-legal reports meet regulatory, legislative, and quality standards, as this represents the organisation’s final deliverable.

  • Liaise closely with a broad portfolio of medical specialists to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and performance targets are consistently met.

  • Provide administrative support and deliver high-quality client service with a professional, solution-focused approach.

  • Collaborate with team members to prioritise workflows and manage competing deadlines effectively.

  • Provide constructive feedback and training to medical experts on medico-legal report writing and quality expectations.

  • Identify and resolve emerging issues, including compliance matters, by providing timely solutions, follow-ups, and de-escalation where required.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Australian Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident schemes.

  • Demonstrate initiative and strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Consistently apply formatting and style guidelines to all documentation.

  • Support file preparation processes (experience advantageous).

  • Apply excellent time management skills to meet strict turnaround times.
