Relevant Experience:
Experience or qualifications in allied health, legal or insurance industries, ideally with experience in interpreting medico-legal reports – highly regarded.
Experience in utilising the AMA Guides and WorkCover Guides for assessing permanent impairment and disability assessments is desirable.
Outstanding literacy skills including comprehension, spelling and grammar, with a high attention to detail.
A secure, ergonomic home office set up with high-speed internet access and access to and knowledge of Microsoft office.
Job Description:
Review medico-legal reports in accordance with the established quality framework, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all medico-legal reports meet regulatory, legislative, and quality standards, as this represents the organisation’s final deliverable.
Liaise closely with a broad portfolio of medical specialists to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and performance targets are consistently met.
Provide administrative support and deliver high-quality client service with a professional, solution-focused approach.
Collaborate with team members to prioritise workflows and manage competing deadlines effectively.
Provide constructive feedback and training to medical experts on medico-legal report writing and quality expectations.
Identify and resolve emerging issues, including compliance matters, by providing timely solutions, follow-ups, and de-escalation where required.
Maintain strong knowledge of Australian Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident schemes.
Demonstrate initiative and strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
Consistently apply formatting and style guidelines to all documentation.
Support file preparation processes (experience advantageous).
Apply excellent time management skills to meet strict turnaround times.
