Qualifications

• Finalist or part qualified Professional qualification (ACCA / ICAP or similar), Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting orrelated field
• Experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO)
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with colleagues and stakeholders
• Ability to Reconcile bank statements and accounts
• Oversee and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial stability

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in retail accounting.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, changing environment and to lead and drive operational initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive management
• Ability to conduct financial analysis and develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models
• Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement

About the job

We are looking for a financial expert to manage our accounting operations and drive strategic planning. You will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy while guiding the business toward its strategic goals through data-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process within QBO
• Bank and account reconciliation preparation and adjustments, analytical review and variance analysis
• Reconciliations of supplier accounts including payables and receivables
• Process accounts payable by analyzing different invoices and making sure they are coded correctly and posting them into QBO
• Preparation of journal entries for month end close
• Implement process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Lead an accounting process from end-to-end
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheets and P&L accounts
• Develop budgets forecasts and cost analysis.
• Monitor cashflow trends
• Generate reports for management decision making.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to provide financial insights
• Support the achievement of strategic goals
• Lead cross-functional projects that require financial expertise
• Implement process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Develop knowledge of tools and applications in support of the accounting function and highlight opportunities for improvement.
