1.0 GENERAL SCOPE
1.1 Nutrition International “NI” (formerly known as the Micronutrient Initiative) is currently working with the Government of Pakistan in Scaling up Zinc and LO-ORS to Improve Childhood Diarrhea treatment in Three Provinces of Pakistan” is to increase the proportion of children with diarrhea who receive zinc and LO-ORS treatment in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. For strengthening and consolidation of the program, NI plans to hire the services of an agency to develop a Behaviour Change Intervention Strategy and adaptation of existing BCC materials to the Pakistan context.

1.3 Nutrition International Pakistan invites bids from authorized manufacturer /distributors/companies having a legal presence in Pakistan for “Purchase of Commodity i.e., “Zinc Dispersible tables & LO-ORS”.

11.0 SUBMISSION of BID
11.1.1 BID responses and all requisite documentation must be received by NI no later October 17, 2025 by post at addresses provided below:

13.1.2 In summary, to be considered responsive, a Bid must include one (1) complete set each of technical and financial documents listed below and conform to the REQUIREMENTS for each document that follow: In the case of a Joint Bid, except where specifically indicated, all information required in both the Technical and Financial Bid should be submitted by both the Primary and the Secondary Bidder.
13.1.3 Technical bid includes:
- Attachment B: Bidder certification
- Copy of manufacturing/import licenses (see section 2.9)
- Proof of stability (see section 6.1.1). For Joint Bids, stability for zinc from Primary Bidders and for ORS from Secondary Bidders
- Proof of GMP compliance (see 6.3.1)
- Attachment C: Table of Ingredients, Materials and Suppliers
- Attachment E: Delivery Schedule (see 5.2) For Joint Bids from Primary Bidders only
- General Liability and Product Liability Insurance (see 5.3.2)
- Certificate of analysis report for 3 primary batches describing:
- Zinc sulphate tablets uniformity of content (Annexure 1)
- Taste masking (Annexure 2)
- Lo ORS package integrity (Annexure 3)
- Client references (Attachment F)
- Delivery schedule for ORS (for Joint Bids only)
- Letter of Commitment (for Joint Bids only)
13.1.4 Financial bid consists of:
- Pricing Table (Attachment D) – For Joint Bids from the Primary Bidder only
- Income tax returns for 3 years
- VAT/sales tax certificate
- Three years annual audited accounts (see section 2.10)
- Affidavit of non- blacklisting
- Earnest Money amounting to 2% of the bid value in the form of Call Deposit or Demand Draft.
