Position Title: SME Outreach & Training Facilitator (OTF) Wome/Men both can apply)
Duty Station:

  • 1 position – Rawalpindi Base
  • 1 position – Sahiwal Base

Reports to: Project Coordinator – Enterprise, Livelihood, Training & Mentorship (E-LTM)
Supervises: Enterprise Growth Rahbars/Advisors/Mentors (district level)
Coordinates with: AHKF Head Office (HO), local communities, district stakeholders, and project partners
Type: Full-time.

Organizational Background

Akhter Hameed Khan Foundation (AHKF) is a non-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). AHKF works across Pakistan to improve livelihoods, promote entrepreneurship, and empower marginalized communities.

Under the Enterprise, Livelihood, Training and Mentorship (E-LTM) Project, AHKF aims to enhance the capacity, sustainability, and employability of micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) in three districts: Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, and Karachi (Orangi).

Role Purpose

The SME Outreach & Training Facilitator (OTF) will serve as the district focal person for enterprise outreach, registration, training, and mentorship activities. S/he will manage and guide the team of Enterprise Growth Rahbars/Advisors/Mentors, ensuring effective identification, training, and growth of MSMEs. The OTF will also support business networking, market linkages, and coordination between the district, communities, and AHKF Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

1. MSME Outreach & Registration

  • Lead the identification and mobilization of eligible MSMEs through Enterprise Growth Rahbars.
  • Oversee the registration and profiling of MSMEs in line with project guidelines.
  • Ensure equitable participation of both women and men entrepreneurs, with attention to marginalized groups.

2. Training & Mentorship Facilitation

  • Design and deliver enterprise training sessions (digital/online and face-to-face).
  • Adapt training modules on business management, financial literacy, marketing, digital tools, and entrepreneurship skills.
  • Ensure continuous mentorship and coaching of MSMEs through Rahbars/Advisors/Mentors.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of training delivery and participant learning outcomes.

3. Business Networking & Market Linkages

  • Build partnerships with local chambers of commerce, financial institutions, suppliers, and buyers.
  • Facilitate exposure visits, business fairs, and networking events for MSMEs.
  • Support MSMEs in accessing credit facilities, digital platforms, and new markets.

4. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate district-level project activities with AHKF Head Office and Project Coordinator.
  • Engage with community leaders, local government, and other stakeholders to ensure project visibility and acceptance.
  • Compile and submit timely reports on MSME outreach, training, mentorship, and outcomes.
  • Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned.

5. Team Supervision & Support

  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to Enterprise Growth Rahbars/Advisors/Mentors.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Build the capacity of Rahbars/Advisors/Mentors on outreach, training facilitation, and business linkage creation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise development, MSME training, livelihoods, or business support programs.
  • Strong experience in training development and delivery (both face-to-face and online).
  • Proven ability to create SMEs business linkages, networking opportunities, and partnerships.
  • Experience supervising community-based outreach or advisory teams.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Urdu (knowledge of regional/local languages preferred).
