Introduction

CARE started its operations in Pakistan as CARE International in Pakistan (CIP) in 2005 and is currently registered in the country with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Economic Affairs Division (EAD). Since our establishment, CIP has worked across all geographies in Pakistan - from the most vulnerable remote areas to developed urban cities - to support people in overcoming poverty through creating opportunities for self-reliance. Our entire staff is locally recruited and works in accordance with the humanitarian principles of impartiality and neutrality.

Internship Objective

Consistent with the CIP’s culture to promote and foster a learning environment, the internship program is designed to provide a limited number of undergraduate/graduate individuals with opportunities to obtain practical work experience. Interns will be closely working with the relevant department of CIP on a full time basis, in Islamabad Office.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1.      Recruitment:

  • Prepare Interview Schedules. Make Interview calls and send emails.
  • Managing logistics for interviews.
  • Initiate reference checks for potential candidates.
  • Arrange orientation week for new joiners.
  • Send Joining forms/Welcome pack to the selected candidates.
  • Ensure completion of joining forms including signing of employment contracts from the selected candidates
  • Assist in exit procedure for leavers.
  • 2. Administrative Duties:
  • Register and dispatch outgoing mails and other items.
  • Digitize HR Documents.
  • Digitize Employee Personnel Files of the Leavers.
  • Assist in maintaining leave forms in a systematic manner.
  • Filing and tagging of all new and Old personnel files in Hard as well as soft
  • Prepare Personnel files for new joiners.
  • Assist in other OD related initiatives as required

Qualifications

A) Education/Training

  • Minimum Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Business Administration with a preferred major in Human Resources  
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Should have an understanding of event, workshop and meeting management.
  • Good research, writing, organizational, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Fluency in English and Urdu. 

B) Competencies: Respect, accountability, interpersonal skill, customer focus, innovation, stress tolerance, collaboration. 

 

II. Contacts/Key Relationship: The incumbent is expected to collaborate with all CARE Pakistan field office and CO staff.

 

III. Working Conditions and Level of Travel Required.

The position will be based in Islamabad.
