Request for Technical and Financial Proposals for Producing a Video Teaser

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy

Background:

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) is one of the few global entities to advance philanthropy through its three programs such as: Research, Certification of Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs), and Communication. PCP is the sole organization that has generated evidence-based data, empirical research, reference materials and documents on philanthropy, thereby creating a knowledge base and understanding of this potential resource as a means of social investment. The first-ever Individual Philanthropy Survey report (Aga Khan Development Network, 2000) revealed that Pakistanis gave an equivalent amount of Rs. 70 billion in monetary, volunteer time and in-kind donations, from which flowed the recommendation to establish PCP in 2001. Subsequently, PCP’s national study on Individual Philanthropy in Pakistan in the year 2014 reinforced the notion that individual giving in the form of monetary and voluntary time is a huge potential revenue estimated at over Rs. 300 billion. The efficacy and utility of the data generated and its findings, directly relate to PCP’s mandate of promoting the volume and effectiveness of philanthropy in Pakistan, and these data have been widely reported, quoted, and drawn on for its credibility and advocacy.

PCP is currently conducting a national study on philanthropy in Pakistan titled "Giving Pakistan". The study, scheduled for completion in 2024, aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the total quantum of philanthropic giving from diverse sources, as well as, charting out trends and patterns of total giving in Pakistan.
