OVERVIEW

The American Refugee Committee aims to train its Afghan Refugee students enrolled in a Afghan Youth Skill Development Program being run in College of Medical technologies, Islamabad. The students are being trained in various paramedical courses. These will be looking for jobs and develop their individual business plans (Health Sector) These students will be completing their competency based clinical trainings in various disciplines by Dec 2016 and will then need to search for livelihood.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The main objective of these Terms of Reference is organizing training on:

Delivering training for the program employees of the American Refugee Committee on:

• Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development

• Job Search, Resume writing and Networking

• Marketing, Health Care Marketing and Market Behaviour.

 

2. Development of Modules for these training and relevant formats for further trickle down training.


SCOPE OF SERVICES

Training of Master Trainers on Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development

In order to conduct trainings to the beneficiaries of Afghan Youth Skill Development Program, master trainers need to be trained and equipped with a professional training program and module development. These trainings aim to develop their skills for Entrepreneurship and eventually develop individual business plans which will aid them in successful employability. Outline of topics to be covered:

• Entrepreneurship

• Developing a viable Business

• Market Research

• Defining Business operations.

• Celebrating costs and profits

• SWOT Analysis

• Business Planning

• Utilizing available Resources

• Creativity in Business

• Health sector specific business plan development The Consultant shall develop the training program and training materials, modules and formats for individual business plan development to be later replicated by master trainers in training the Afghan Youth Skill Development Project.

Training of Master Trainers on Resume Writing, Job Search and Networking

In order to conduct trainings to the beneficiaries of Afghan Youth Skill Development Program, master trainers need to be trained and equipped with a professional training program and module development. These trainings aim to develop their skills for effective CV writing, Contents of CV writing, effective job searching, developing professional linkages, health marketing, learning market trends and sensing market behaviour for best possibilities of employability in their relevant fields as well as small growing business.

Training of Master Trainers on Marketing, Health Care Marketing and Market Behaviour

Training of master trainers is required to learn develop their skills for health marketing, learning market trends, developing market strategies and sensing market behaviour for best possibilities of employability in their relevant fields. Place of training and number of participants. The training shall be conducted in ARC Office Islamabad  for 15-20 participants. The duration of the each training will depend on the modules offered. The training is planned to be conducted in the period march-June 2016. In the office hours between 10-am to 5 pm.

CONSULTANT’S REPORTING OBLIGATIONS

After realization of each type of training, the company (the consultant) will submit a training report with details about the organized training. The consultant is also expected to utilize different tools to evaluate sessions at the training program relying on both quantitative and qualitative data. The report should include the following information:

• Where and how the training was organized,

• How many participants where on the training,

• Signed attendance lists by the participants with their contact details

• What topics were covered on the training,

• Copy of the presentations held on the trainings.

• Modules and training materials e.g CV formats and Business development format etc to be shared with ARC( preferably before the start of training)

• Conclusions whether the trainings achieved their goals and whether they were successful, including the details on participants’ assessment of the training program, and the reports in English not later than 10 days after each type of training.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The desired qualifications of the consultants' firm for this assignment are the following

  • Minimum5 years of experience in developing and implementing training programs
  • Experience in conducting trainings for UN agencies and INGOs shall be considered as an advantage.
  • Preferance shall be given to the training companies with sound fianncials.
