Job Description:

The MIS Manager is responsible for overseeing MIS functions for UNICEF funded Systems Strengthening for Maternal and Child Health Supply Chain (" Project") in compliance with Chemonics policies and procedures. The MIS Manager will be responsible for efficient and smooth running of MIS related operations and lead all activities pertaining to coordination, software development, training and deployment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

As MIS Manager, the employee is responsible for the following principal duties and responsibilities:

  1. Assist Director MIS in planning and implementing MIS activities for MNCH LMIS i.e. UNICEF System Strengthening for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health Supply Chains in Sindh and Punjab with accurate business case and project plan
  2. Participate in consultative meetings for MNCH LMIS architecture and design mockups.
  3. Develop integration plans for vLMIS, cLMIS, etc. and Power point presentation of report to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Be the solid bridge between key users and solution providers, initiate coordination with stakeholders to Identify, analyze and enlist new UI features of MNCH LMIS improvement and develop recommendations.
  5. Planning, monitoring & control the MNCH releases from pilot to rollout stage within the stipulated timelines with recommended practices and tools
  6. Provide technical leadership to programmers working as development team
  7. Manage second level support of MNCH LMIS during Pilot and rollout period.
  8. Develop, update and maintain documentation on processes and procedures required for software development life cycle and related activities and assist report writing.
  9. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and address all test issues, bugs and errors arises.
  10. Assist program in Capacity development of MNCH LMIS end user
  11. Completely involve in implementation and hand holding of users while pilot and rolled out of MNCH LMIS.
  12. Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering/ IT or related field.
  2. 5 years of relevant experience in in managing software development processes and its implementation with proven experience of major implementation of MIS.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  4. Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  5. Fluency in English required.
