Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent LHV Supervisor for Punial-Ishkomen Module, under Community Health Program.

Job Summary: LHV Supervisor ensures delivery of safe, high-quality nursing and midwifery care in assigned areas. This position supports implementation of nursing standards, policies, and infection control protocols. The role supervises, mentors, and guides nursing staff to maintain professional excellence. It coordinates with clinicians and management to ensure efficient service delivery and resource utilization. The position contributes to planning, monitoring, and achieving nursing departmental goals


Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of nursing quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure service excellence across all nursing functions.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Supervise new staff during orientation and provide mentorship to LHVs/Midwives as a role model.
  • Ensure availability and proper functioning of equipment and supplies in assigned areas.
  • Prepare annual plans with Sr. FHO/FHO and review them on time to make necessary changes.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct unit-based meetings and training sessions for nursing staff with support from Sr. FHO/FHO.
  • Participate in planning and preparing the annual budget for BHUs with Sr. FHO/FHO.
  • Prepare timely reports and submit them to the concerned department after review by Sr. FHO/FHO.
  • Ensure patient care is provided as per policy and properly documented in assigned areas.
  • Assign nursing staff according to patient care needs, nursing competency, and staff development requirements.
  • Coordinate with clinicians to ensure safe and quality patient care and treatment regimens.
  • Assist the Head Nurse in ensuring effective and efficient staffing and scheduling for 24-hour coverage in LR and OBs.
  • Monitor inventory in relevant areas to ensure availability and effective use of resources.
  • Lead LHV/Midwife-led services for vaccination, family planning, antenatal, natal, and postnatal care, and maintain documentation as per standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the unit in coordination with relevant departments (BHC staff).

 

 

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Diploma in LHV/CHN/RN/RM  from a recognized nursing institution
  • Minimum 5-10 year experience
  • Valid PNC registration
  • Ability to work under pressure with pressing deadlines
  • Should be polite, respectful, and courteous to the patients, community, and to those who are in authority.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
