Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:

A humanitarian and Development organization is hiring a Learning Support Assistant, who will support field-level implementation of education interventions under the project. This includes assisting in enrollment drives, learning activities, school committee strengthening, girls’ empowerment initiatives, and community engagement efforts. The role requires strong community facilitation skills and a commitment to inclusive and gender-sensitive education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the field-level implementation of education interventions, including enrolment of out-of-school children (ECE–Grade 5), and support the delivery of Catch-up Camps, remedial sessions, and ECE activities.
• Help organize and facilitate community trainings and meetings, and assist schools in implementing basic improvement actions.
• Support inclusive education and safeguarding activities, including school-based sessions and safety/accessibility observations.
• Assist in facilitating Girls’ Voices and STEAM Clubs, and help organize related sessions and events with teachers and partners.
• Take part in awareness events, parent meetings, and SBCC activities, and help document project stories and impact.
• Maintain field records, support assessments and visits, and assist in logistical and reporting tasks.

Eligibility:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting education or community-based programs, preferably with NGOs or local schools.
• Experience working with children, community groups, or school staff is an advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of community education activities, inclusive learning, and child-friendly practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in local languages.
• Ability to assist in organizing activities and coordinate with teachers, parents, and local stakeholders.
• Sensitivity to child protection, gender equality, and inclusive approaches.
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas.
