Job Description:

The roles and responsibilities for this position includes but not limited to:

Market Development & Linkages

• Identify and analyze potential markets for community-based products and enterprises.
• Facilitate market linkages between producers, cooperatives, and private sector buyers, wholesalers, or exporters.
• Support the formation and strengthening of producer groups, cooperatives, and market-oriented enterprises.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with private sector entities, chambers of commerce, and government departments to promote sustainable business relationships.
• Facilitate buyer-seller meetings, trade fairs, and exhibitions to promote rural products.
• Conduct value chain analyses to identify bottlenecks, opportunities, and interventions for selected commodities.
• Promote value addition, product quality improvement, branding, and packaging initiatives.
• Support the design and implementation of business development services (BDS) for small producers and enterprises.
• Design and deliver training programs for entrepreneurs and producer groups on marketing, pricing, and negotiation skills.
• Support the development of marketing plans, business models, and promotional strategies for rural enterprises.
• Provide advisory support to project teams and community institutions on market-led livelihood planning.
• Track progress of marketing and linkage activities and prepare periodic progress reports for Project Lead.
• Document success stories, best practices, and lessons learned from market development initiatives.
• Coordinate closely with enterprise development, livelihoods, and M&E teams for integrated implementation.

Qualification & Experience

Master’s degree or 16 years of education in relevant field with 7 years of relevant experience in marketing, value chain and linkages development interventions.
