About the role:

The Young Graduate Internship Officer will support the Young Graduates Development Programme by planning, implementing, and overseeing youth-centered activities. Key areas include youth empowerment initiatives and health and well-being components, in line with PMS’s mission to foster growth and resilience among young populations. This role emphasizes quality control, timely delivery, and efficient resource management, while ensuring strong documentation and reporting practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Programme Development & Coordination

  • Assist in designing innovative initiatives that foster young graduates’ empowerment.
  • Collaborate with the Line Manager to set and refine criteria, assessment tools, and indicators for programme success.
  • Support the line Manager in development of project proposals and provide the required programme data.
  • Contribute to budget preparation, activity planning, and implementation schedules.

2. Programme Implementation & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the timely execution of programme activities according to approved detailed Implementation plans (DIP).
  • Ensure the Spiritual development of interns through daily devotion, Professional development through deputation in department and personal development of the Interns through capacity building trainings.
  • Networking with institutions and Govt. Line departments for the exposure .
  • Identify and address any gaps, overlaps, or areas for improvement within the youth program.
  • Ensure all the data is uploaded on ERP system.

3. Data & Documentation Management

  • Maintain comprehensive records for all youth programme activities, including progress reports, field assessments, and impact studies data.
  • Generate analysis and compile data for internal use, supporting evidence-based decision-making.
  • Archive all project documentation, ensuring secure and accessible storage of both physical and digital files.

4. Administrative Support

  • Assist in the logistical planning of activities, including procurement requests and budget management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure open communication and consistent updates.
  • Track and document program expenses, preparing basic financial summaries for programme review.

What we are looking for:

Education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration or any related field.
  • Knowledge of internship programme designs, career development or youth engagement.

Work Experience:

  • 1 Year- 2 Years of dedicated experience in Youth Development, Internship Programmes or related field within the NGO program.

Functional Competencies/Skills:

Organizational Skills: Ability to keep tasks and documents well-organized.

Communication Skills: Clear and simple communication, both in writing and speaking.

Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and support the team.

Time Management Skills: Efficient use of time to meet deadlines.

Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable using basic software like Word, Excel, and email.

The responsibilities listed above cover most of the tasks that would be performed by the job holder in this position; however, staff may be assigned any other official tasks as and when required.
