DevCon – An Association for Rural Development is a not-for-profit Non-Government Organization established in 1997 and registered under Societies Act 1860.
DevCon is looking for experienced and highly motivated professionals for the following position(s) for its possible upcoming project on EMERGENCY in District Sanghar Sindh.
Position: Field Coordinators
No. of positions: 05 (03 M/02 F)
Location: District Sanghar
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for mobilizing and organizing target communities to ensure their meaningful participation in project activities.
- Assist in field planning, supervision, implementation, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of the project activities.
- Responsible to develop detailed village/community profiles of each village/community that organization has selected for its intervention with specific reference to the population figures, services, and other human resource services.
- Responsible for identification and verification of most vulnerable families.
- Responsible for ensuring that all community-based networks are coordinating with each other effectively for timely achievement of common/joint results/objectives.
- Ensure the implementation of the cash transfer program, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with the project plan and best standards of transparency.
- Coordinate the identification, registration, and verification of beneficiaries in collaboration with local stakeholders and community leaders.
- Ensure the project assistance reaches smoothly and efficiently to beneficiaries, adhering to safety and security protocols.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings with local stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other NGOs and international agencies working in the region to avoid duplication and ensure synergies in humanitarian efforts.
- Compile monthly progress reports on various project activities and submit them to Project Manager for preparing the consolidated progress reports for Project Management Team and donor.
- Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including beneficiary data, distribution logs, and financial records.
- Organization and execution of various training workshops for the members of local community organizations. (Where applicable)
- Preparing monthly and quarterly work plans.
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager.
- Prepare daily field visit reports.
- Attend daily feedback sessions and share the problems, issues and progress.
- Comply with other assignments whenever required by line manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field. Masters degree is an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management or field coordination, preferably in cash transfer programs or emergency response.
- Experience working in Sindh, with a deep understanding of the local context and challenges.
- Proven experience in liaising with local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Fluency in Sindhi and Urdu.
