Job Summary:

 

A not for profit organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for its projects aimed at communicable disease control. Positioned in Islamabad, Pakistan, with significant travel requirements across various provinces.

 

You will work under the direct supervision of the CEO, playing a crucial role in providing implementation and technical direction for the projects. Your responsibilities will include steering project activities, leading and mentoring field teams, and ensuring a strong liaison with National, Provincial and District health authorities. This role is not just about overseeing the technical aspects; it's about being a leader in the field and driving the projects towards their objectives. Your contribution will be instrumental in shaping the management strategies. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership in building and managing teams at both the provincial and district levels, fostering collaboration, and guiding your teams towards achieving significant project milestones and goals.

 

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of all programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Provide oversight to program teams, coordinating activities and resources to achieve impactful outcomes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Manage program budgets and financial resources, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
  • Establish robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums and events, promoting program objectives and building networks.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum MBBS and MPH qualifications. Additional merit will be given to those with a degree in global health and Management certification / Degree.
  • Candidates with a foreign degree are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in managing large, comprehensive, and complex programs in Pakistan.
  • Candidates with  publications in International Peer Reviewed Journals will be preferred
  • Proven track record of building teams and fostering collaboration to achieve goals, meet milestones, and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Effective personnel management, coordination, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to be accountable for all aspects of the activity.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
