Background:

The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to promoting peace, democracy, and development in Pakistan. CPDI is currently implementing a project aimed at cultivating peace and harmony, which is expected to span over a five-year period. To enhance project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) processes, CPDI seeks to hire a skilled and experienced individual to develop a comprehensive MEL system along with professional database using Microsoft 365, with major work in SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or any other suitable technology solutions.

Scope of Work:

The MEL System Developer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Develop a project monitoring system tailored to the specific needs of CPDI's project, utilizing Microsoft 365 tools specifically SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate and/or any other suitable technology solutions to develop a comprehensive MEL database system.
  2. Collaborate with CPDI's project team to identify tracker for sub-awardees, project activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), data collection methods, and reporting requirements for effective project monitoring.
  3. Design and implement the database structure and data schema based on MEL Indicators and reporting requirements from data entry forms/ sheets, dashboards, and reports within SharePoint, Power Apps, BI and/or suitable technology solutions to facilitate real-time data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  4. Integrate automated workflows using Power Automate and/or suitable technology solutions to streamline MEL processes, including data entry, edit, verification, and validation through notification alerts, and support datasheets, summaries, and report generation through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and incorporate modifications as required.
  5. Ensure the security, integrity, conciseness, and confidentiality of project data by implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures within the MEL system.
  6. Provide training and capacity-building sessions for CPDI staff on operating the MEL system effectively, including data entry, data analysis, and report generation.
  7. Provide comprehensive database structure diagram, flow, source code/ lists, libraries, and views configured for MEL data management.
  8. Provide user manual both for administrative and front-end users along with user credentials.
  9. Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance services post-implementation for error and bug free smooth and robust implementation and usage of MEL database.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. At least five years of hands on experience of developing production grade data driven applications, preferably MNE systems in Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, power apps, power BI and latest automate technologies.
  3. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques, with experience in designing interactive dashboards and reports for monitoring project performance.
  4. Proven track record of delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines and adapting to changing project requirements.
  5. Previous experience working with NGOs or international development organizations is an asset.

Duration and Remuneration:

This position is contractual for a period of two months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. The selected candidate will be compensated competitively based on qualifications and experience.
