Support to Dhakki Dates Growers for Establishment of Solar Tunnels Dryers (STD)

The USAID’s funded Economic Recovery and Development Activity (USAID-ERDA) is a five-year activity implemented by Associates in Development (AiD) Pvt Ltd. The USAID-ERDA aims to increase economic opportunities by strengthening and modernizing the agriculture sector and promoting micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its Newly Merged Districts (NMDs).

USAID-ERDA under its agriculture component plans to establish solar tunnels dryers, in the selected tehsils of District DI Khan (Tehsil Paharpur).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

• Permanent resident holding valid CNIC of District DI Khan.
• Farmer having Dhakki Dates producing orchard in Dhakki Dates Production Cluster in Tehsil Paharpur.
• Own or leased land having Dhakki dates orchard not less than one acre (in case of leased orchard, the applicant must have a minimum 10 year’s valid land lease with documentary proof of ownership/lease agreement)
• Contribute 10% upfront cash of the total grant amount and in-kind contribution including land preparation (leveling, clearance, etc.) for STDs.

TYPE OF SUPPORT

• In-kind Grant Support of up-to PKR 1,239,973 per grant.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 

• Complete grant application form. (Mandatory)  
• Copies of valid CNIC. (Mandatory)
• Proof of land ownership or leased agreement (Fard / stamp paper/ registry)
