Introduction


IFPRI is one of the 15 International Agricultural Centers that are members of a global agricultural research network, the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). IFPRI is a Public International Organization (PIO), IFPRI's role is to generate information and capacity related to agriculture, food and nutrition policy in developing countries through the conduct of research and outreach in collaboration with governments, the private sector, civil society, and other researchers.
The goal of the research and outreach is to inform decisions that lead to and accelerate reductions in poverty, food insecurity, and malnutrition.
