Purpose of the post
The Assistant provides support to IHL Department and has the responsibility within the delegation for issues related to international humanitarian law, international law and/or domestic law.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support in organising events of ICRC.
· To prepare clear, structured and well-documented reports as required, including minutes of internal/external meetings, project reports of ICRC events related to IHL.
· To assist the departments and Legal Advisor in dissemination sessions.
· To draft letters and send it to the concerned authorities/ interlocutors etc.
· To support Legal Advisor with work related to IHL.
· The IHL assistant may be asked to perform duties and tasks not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
· An LLB degree
· Sound knowledge of the Pakistani legal system and International Humanitarian Law
· Proficiency in English and Urdu (written and spoken)
· Excellent Computer skills (standard software)
· Proven ability and willingness to work in a cross-cultural environment
· Excellent analytical and drafting skills
. Previous work experience in similar field will be given preference.
