Overall Experience

• Overall 10-year experience of teaching and research at university level.
• Have an up to date knowledge and understanding of developments in the field of IHL academically and practically in the field and courts, have at least five-year experience in training on Islamic law and IHL issues.   

Desired Language

   Urdu, English & Arabic   

Skills/Competencies

• Should be well-respected among the Islamic and academic circles of Pakistan and abroad must have strong networking skills
• Should have a high standing in the academic research with publications in research journals of repute
• Should be fluent and eloquent in speaking Urdu, English and Arabic
• Can devise training material on Islamic Law and IHL not only for students, but also for professors and high level Islamic scholars
• Can prepare and deliver power point presentations

Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to preparation of training materials on Islam-IHL for professors, students, high level Islamic scholars and senior students
• Do presentations on topics related to Islamic Law and IHL
• Prepare and conduct case studies/group work in training course/seminars
• Conduct discussion on ICRC`s role in promoting IHL
• Help in networking with relevant Islamic and academic circles
• Other relevant jobs in this field that arise time to time
• Be flexible in allocating time to ICRC`s activities when invited.
• Availability of the Consultant will be required as per events.
