DAI is seeking to hire a qualified Communications Lead for an anticipated $10-25 million USAID-funded activity to develop a fully digital, efficient and transparent land record. The activity will be implemented in select Newly Merged Districts in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The land record will help improve land management and local planning, mitigate land disputes, support enabling conditions to access credit and improve the ability of the Government to provide services to its citizens.

Position description/summary:

We are looking for candidates with expertise in:

 

  • Designing, drafting and disseminating communication products (USAID experience preferred) about complex topics to a broad audience;
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to promote the project’s objectives, including strengthening women’s rights to property;
  • Leading strategies to build the capacity of governmental staff to improve their strategic communications capacities;
  • Engaging diverse stakeholders from the public and private sectors to coordinate communication efforts; and
  • Drafting and disseminating communications materials about project activities and successes to project partners, stakeholders, and USAID.

Qualifications:

  • More than five (5) years of relevant experience and skills related to area of specialization;
  • Proven track record working effectively in multi- disciplinary teams on development projects and building counterpart capacity, preferably in the Newly Merged Districts;
  • Fluency in English required, and Pashto language skills strongly preferred;
  • University degree in relevant discipline, Master’s degree preferred;
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to Peshawar and throughout the Newly Merged Districts; and
  • Excellent strategic writing, editing, and speaking skills.
