Position: Fleet Officer

Reports to: Country Security Manager (CSM) Job Summary: 

The position is responsible for the overall management of the SCRP’s automotive fleet program, which includes the complete inventory of all automotive equipment. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Country Security Manager within the Security Department. The incumbent exercises general supervision over professional, trades/technical personnel including ensuring a safe, efficient and cost competitive corporate fleet operation including IMC owned and rental vehicles which encompasses vehicle and equipment budgeting, procurement, operation, maintenance, disposal, regulatory compliance, operator safety and training, rental and lease equipment sourcing, and related cost analysis, accounting and reporting.

Main Duties and responsibilities









Management

Ensure that all vehicles and equipment in the fleet are properly maintained, registered, licensed, tested and, to the extent appropriate, operated in accordance with federal, state and local regulations

Ensure that operators of vehicles and equipment in the fleet receive proper instruction and refresher training needed to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to or misuse of vehicles and equipment comprising the fleet.

Competently manage the fleet procurement, rental and leasing processes and the fleet maintenance and operations support areas including vehicle trekkers, Rental invoicing so that fleet availability, performance, user satisfaction, and costs are within the organization budget.

Build strong partnerships with all fleet customer segments, ensuring that services, vehicles, and equipment provided are satisfying the transportation and equipment needs of the users dispersed across these segments.

Recruit, organize, train, develop, lead, motivate, direct the efforts and manage the performance of the employees comprising Fleet Services

Review, critique and, when finalized, approve of vehicle replacement and buy versus lease recommendations brought forward to Country Security Manager, ensuring that the total owning cost of the fleet are minimized to the extent possible.

Must ensure that all drivers are licensed to drive in Pakistan and adhering traffic rules and regulations.

Training

Ensures that operators of vehicles and equipment in the fleet receive proper instruction and refresher training needed to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to or misuse of vehicles and equipment comprising the fleet.

Rental/Operations

Competently manage the fleet procurement, rental and leasing processes and the fleet maintenance and operations support areas under supervision of the Country Security Manager, and ensuring that fleet availability, performance, user satisfaction, and costs are within the organization budget.

Planning

Review, critique and, when finalized, approve of vehicle replacement and buy versus lease recommendations brought forward to the Country Security

 

Minimum Experience Required: 

  • At least three (3) years of automotive fleet management experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge Required:    

Minimum Bachelors or Service Equivalent.
