Communications & Media Officer

Job Description:

• Ensure visibility and promotion of Program work as per guidelines of the program steering committee as well as in line with the donor’s visibility and communication guidelines.
• Ensure effective internal and external communication with multiple stakeholders
• Develop informative and engaging material (brochures, newsletters, success stories, articles etc.) to create awareness amongst communities at the grassroots level.
• Support the Program in developing literature and other materials to showcase, share and communicate details of various projects and interventions with multiple stakeholders
• Develop and maintain strong external and internal Program-related communications
• Responsible for writing script and editing video/audio documentation of Program success stories.
• Record keeping of program Media and Communication activities
• Ensure translations and composing of text in local languages.

Relevant Experience:

• 16 years of education or Masters in Social Sciences and relevant disciplines / Project Management/Masters in Business Administration / Masters in Public Administration.
• Minimum 4 years marketing, communications, media or public relations experience preferably in international or national development sector organization.
• Knowledge of a broad range of communications activities – media, websites, publications, marketing, social media, events, etc.
• Pays attention to details.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience and skills in managing the relationship with partner organizations.
