Terms of Reference

Position Title: Photographer

No. of Positions: 2

Gender: 1 Male, 1 Female

General Objective: To produce good quality pictures and success stories to be used for communication purposes.

Term: 10 Days  (expected delivery date: Last two weeks of September 2019)

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Photographer will be responsible to;

• Conduct field visits to the project area and capture good quality pictures keeping in mind the culture and gender sensitivity of the area.
• Caption each photograph with specific details such as the location taken, name of the person (for portraits), activity and any other relevant information.
• Document key success stories supported by pictures.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of the pictures taken.
• Each photographer to provide a minimum of 150 quality pictures by the end of the assignment that can be used for communication purposes.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of cameras and camera techniques.
• Should be able to work on Photoshop and latest editing software.
• Five years’ progressive experience as a photographer.  
• Experience taking photographs for NGOs and healthcare projects.
• Responsible for shoot and editing.
• Must be flexible to travel.

• Should be available on flexible timings.
• Be creative, with a good eye for a picture.
• Have excellent technical and photography skills.
• Aware and cautious about the cultural context of KP.
• Ownership or possession of a high resolution state of the art digital camera/equipment is a MUST.
