JOB PURPOSE:
The incumbent would be responsible for community mobilization in the targeted districts. He/ she will be responsible to conduct meeting with parent teacher councils (PTCs), mobilize the parents and enroll children in the program. Social Mobilizer will also take follow up and coordination with parents / guardians to ensure regular attendance of students in the summer schools program.
Job Description:
- Establish initial contact with the communities and schools for introduction of the project.
- Collect necessary baseline information about the teachers, students and communities.
- Mobilize and motivate the PTCs, teachers and parents for the enrollment of the teachers and students in project activities.
- Conduct meetings with PTCs for mobilization and arrangements of the teachers training.
- Ensure timely support to the master trainers for the smooth execution of the teachers’ trainings and their placements in the selected schools.
- Mobilize students and enroll in HH summer program.
- Maintain data of the beneficiaries as per protocols of the HHA
- Develop and maintain the necessary documentation and record of all project activities.
- Provide relevant information as required by project coordinator and project team.
- Conduct follow up visits and share the progress with the line supervisors.
- Ensure the field visits with adherence to the project implementation guidelines.
Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in management/social sciences.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with NGOs with minimum 1-year relevant experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills, community mobilization skills and report writing skills.
- Ability and desire to work independently in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks and a large volume of work in a timely and effective manner.
- The ability to work well with others, both internally and externally, from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Preference would be given to experienced candidates of target districts.
