Business Engagement Associate

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is searching for a Business Engagement Associate to support them in the delivery of the SUN Business Network (SBN) strategy.

GAIN is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss-based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 700 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children.

The SBN is one of four global networks within the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement which supports 59 Countries, including Pakistan, to develop multi-stakeholder strategies to scale up nutrition at the national level.

Based in Pakistan, the Business Engagement Associate will support the network’s research and analysis, engagement of companies, country activities, and communications. Key responsibilities include;

• Conducting research/analysis in thematic areas of SBN and understand the food systems and its functioning and dynamics in rural and urban areas.
• Meeting companies and facilitating engagement and partnerships with SMEs and large businesses.
• Managing SBN’s databases of business commitments
• Coordinating with the global communications team to develop materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates for this role will need strong analytical skills with the ability to design and execute qualitative and quantitative research. Good knowledge of food systems is essential, as is an understanding of the private sector landscape of Pakistan.
