JOB TITLE:                   Finance Officer

REPORTS TO:               Finance Manager

LOCATION:                  Islamabad

Position Objective

Finance Officer will be responsible to look after financial management under supervision of Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities

  1. Approve payments, purchase authorizations and other financial transactions to ensure compliance with staff rules, financial rules and implementing instruments/authority.
  2. Prepare the end of month accounts and maintain a system to monitor expenditures
  3. Constantly review banking arrangements to ensure timely transfer of funds and minimize exchange loses and bank charges
  4. Furnish financial reports on periodic basis
  5. Ensure smooth disbursements to Government officials as per policy
  6. Ensure timely release of per diem claims of Project staff
  7. Ensure timely release payments to official staff and vendors
  8. Ensure employee’s salaries are paid in time and proper documentation is being maintained
  9. Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Job Specifications

Education: Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline

Work Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience; experience of working with international donors will be preferred
