Tetra Tech ES, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech (USA) dedicated to international development, is recruiting for Network System Analyst to support multi-year (2017-2021) USAID-funded sustainable energy project in Pakistan.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Network System Analyst will lead simulation of the distribution network to address network analysis and planning needs. This position will report to Director Commercial Distribution Operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
§ Using modern simulation software, such as CYMDIST, perform simulations of the distribution network for capacity, contingency, power quality and optimization.
§ Perform analysis for unbalanced load flows, load allocation & estimation, fault analysis and load balancing.
§ Responsible for electrical network sketching and collection of technical parameters required for performing simulation and preparing proposals.
§ Responsible for feeder network simulation using software with parameter settings to analyze ‘as-is’ results and to derive ‘to-be’ results.
§ Should be able to undertake cost-benefit analysis as well as pre & post implementation performance analysis.
§ Using simulation techniques and on-ground situation, should be able to develop network optimization plans and schemes.
§ Evaluate and monitor progress of the execution schemes and carry out post implementation analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
EDUCATION:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a HEC recognized university.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
§ Candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in distribution sub sector in power industry in areas of system planning studies, simulations and analysis.
§ Working experience in DISCOs is highly preferred.
§ Experience of working on multi donor projects is a plus.
SKILLS:
§ Ability to work in team environment and meet tight deadlines under demanding conditions.
§ Excellent communication and writing skills with ability to present complex technical proposals.
§ High level of computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and Power point.
