Z.M.K. & Co. invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and committed professionals for the position of Child Protection Officer (NOA-1 CFCI) to support UNICEF's Child Protection Programme in Balochistan.

Purpose of the Position

The Child Protection Officer will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of Child Friendly Communities Initiatives (CFCIs) and other integrated child protection programmes. The position will contribute to strengthening child protection systems, promoting birth registration, enhancing adolescent participation, and supporting the prevention and response to child marriage, child labour, and other child protection risks through coordinated multi-sectoral interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Child Protection focal point for Child Friendly Communities Initiatives (CFCIs) and integrated programming.
  • Support the design, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of child protection interventions.
  • Strengthen child protection systems, including birth registration, case management, referral mechanisms, and community-based protection services.
  • Coordinate with government departments, NGOs, and development partners to ensure effective programme implementation.
  • Monitor project activities, manage programme data, and prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and programme achievements.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives, workshops, trainings, and field missions for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among multi-sectoral actors to improve support services for vulnerable and at-risk children.
  • Assist in planning and budgeting for continuity of child protection services at district level.

Education

  • Master's Degree in International Relations, International Development, Human Rights, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, International Law, or any other relevant Social Science discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Development, Human Rights, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, International Law, or any other relevant Social Science discipline with 2 years of relevent professional experience

Experience

  • Minimum two (02) year of relevant professional experience in Child Protection, Social Development, Programme Implementation, Community engagement, or related fields.
  • Experience with government, development partners, NGOs, or UN agencies will be considered an asset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of child protection principles and prevention programming.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and work independently.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of local languages will be an advantage.
