Position: Plumber (Certified)

Job Purpose

To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitation infrastructure across all facilities, ensuring safe, clean, and uninterrupted water services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, sewerage lines, taps, valves, pumps, and sanitary fittings.
• Inspect plumbing systems regularly to identify leaks, blockages, and faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of water tanks, overhead tanks, motors, and pumping systems.
• Repair and replace damaged pipes, fixtures, and sanitary equipment.
• Ensure proper water pressure and flow in all areas of the facility.
• Clear blockages in drainage and sewerage systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Install and maintain washroom fittings including toilets, basins, showers, and accessories.
• Read and follow plumbing layouts, drawings, and technical instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene during and after plumbing work.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and contractors for repair and renovation work.
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues such as leaks or pipe bursts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certified Plumber from a recognized technical institute or trade authority.
• Minimum Matric education (Intermediate preferred).
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of water supply systems, drainage systems, and sanitary work.
• Experience with pumps, overhead tanks, and pipeline networks.
• Ability to understand basic technical drawings and site requirements.
