Purpose
The GBV Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field-level implementation of GBV activities, ensuring effective outreach, coordination, and service delivery in line with organisational standards.
The role supervises GBV Community Mobilisers and Interpreters, supports identification of GBV cases through safe and ethical approaches, and ensures strong coordination between field teams and GBV case management services.

Key Responsibilities
Field-Level Implementation & Supervision
- Provide supervision to GBV Community Mobilisers and Interpreters.
- Monitor day-to-day GBV field activities and ensure compliance with approved SOPs and standards.
- Conduct regular field monitoring and quality assurance visits.
- Provide guidance and support to field teams to ensure effective and consistent service delivery.
Community Engagement & Prevention
- Oversee GBV awareness, prevention, and community mobilisation activities.
- Ensure all engagement is culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and survivor-safe.
- Support ethical identification of individuals at risk through community outreach.
Case Management Support & Referral Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the Senior GBV Case Management Officer and GBV Case Workers to ensure safe and effective referrals.
- Support follow-up coordination for GBV cases where required, without assuming case ownership, which remains the responsibility of GBV Case Workers.
- Escalate complex cases, safety concerns, and ethical issues promptly through appropriate channels.
Interpreter & Communication Support Management
- Supervise GBV Interpreters to ensure accurate, confidential, and survivor-centred communication support.
- Ensure interpreters adhere to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical standards at all times.
Monitoring, Reporting & Information Flow
- Maintain records of field activities, outreach sessions, and community engagement.
- Compile field-level reports and provide inputs for GBV reporting.
- Identify gaps, risks, and service delivery challenges and report them to the GBV Coordinator.
- Ensure timely and accurate flow of information between field teams and the GBV unit.
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure safeguarding, PSEA, and Do No Harm principles are upheld across all field activities.
- Promote survivor-centred approaches in all engagements.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns immediately through established mechanisms.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties related to the position, as reasonably assigned by the Supervisor, in line with organisational policies and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in GBV or protection programming.
- Experience in supervising field teams and community engagement activities.
- Strong understanding of GBV principles, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication, coordination, and team management skills.
