Purpose

Under the supervision of the Facility Incharge, the Facilitation Assistant is responsible for supporting structured and dignified service delivery at the MPH by guiding beneficiaries, facilitating movement between service domes, assisting vulnerable individuals, and maintaining orderly operations within the facility.

The role ensures beneficiaries receive clear guidance, priority support where required, and safe navigation across service areas in line with organisational standards and protection principles.

Key Responsibilities

Beneficiary Guidance & Support

• Provide clear guidance to beneficiaries regarding procedures, documentation requirements, and relevant service domes.
• Assist beneficiaries in navigating between reception, distribution points, community spaces, and meeting areas.
• Support elderly persons, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and other vulnerable individuals in accessing services.

• Respond calmly and professionally to beneficiary queries and provide appropriate direction.

Service Flow & Crowd Management

• Support orderly beneficiary movement and waiting area management.
• Monitor crowd flow and coordinate with Desk Operators to avoid congestion.
• Ensure prioritisation protocols are followed where applicable.
• Immediately report any disputes, disruptions, or security concerns to the Facility Incharge.
• Help maintain a safe and organised environment across facility domes.

Protection & Safeguarding Compliance

• Ensure services are delivered in a respectful, non-discriminatory, and dignified manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and avoid discussing sensitive beneficiary information publicly.
• Adhere to organisational Code of Conduct, safeguarding, PSEAH, confidentiality, and Do No Harm principles.
• Identify and report protection-sensitive cases or safeguarding concerns through established reporting mechanisms.

Operational Support

• Support Desk Operators in managing beneficiary where required.
• Support preparation and arrangement of service areas prior to operational hours.
• Ensure assigned service areas remain organised during working hours.
• Provide basic information support during internal or external visits to the MPH.

Other Duties

Perform any other duties related to the position, as reasonably assigned by the Facility Incharge, in line with organisational policies and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum intermediate qualification with a relevant diploma or certification in a related field preferred; higher qualifications will be considered an advantage.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in community work, service delivery, public-facing roles, or humanitarian settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage crowd situations calmly and professionally.
• Sensitivity to working with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work in structured and high-flow service environments.
• Knowledge of local languages is an asset.
