Electrical Engineer

Qualification:

• B.Sc / B.E (Electrical Engineering) from PEC recognized university.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in oil & gas and fertilizer industry.

Skills:

• Maintenance & troubleshooting skills of electrical installation (switchgears, VFDs, HT/LT protections, HT/LT overhaed lines, tranformers & motors etc).
• Sound knowledge of power generation, load sharing / synchronization system and distribution networks.
• Well conversant with industrial codes / standards related to electrical installation.
• Well conversant with CMMS/inventory modules.
• Should have sound understanding of safety standards and procedures sector.
• Knowlege of instrumentation would be additive advantge.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage preventive maintenance plans of electrical installations and equipment.
• Installation, commissioning & repairing of VFDs and soft starters.
• Installation and maintenance of HT (11KV) and LT (440V) overhead lines.
• Perform maintenance of Motors, Generators, Transformers and Electrical systems.
• Perform maintenance of Electrical Switchgear / MCC and Substation.
• Operation and maintenance of captive power plant.
• Design and selection of equipment for hazardous areas classification.
• Budget preparation and inventory management of electrical related projects / equipment.
• Maintenance record, documentation and report writing of electrical equipment.
• Planning and execution of short term & long-term project.
• Identify, investigate and rectify electrical breakdowns or tripping.
• Diagnose the facts and root cause of emergencies and prepare mitigation plans.
• Re-ordering levels of parts in hand for emergencies and preventive and routine maintenance.
• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment as per standards, classification, rating and codes. Answer technical inquires, make technical recommendations and assess materials re-ordering levels.
• Ensures all work is performed in accordance with the applicable Environmental, Health Safety & ISO standards and codes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of OGRA, OHSAS, ISO and CIM Audits.
• Must be able to provide technical support to all relevant sections and coordinate regarding routine operations, maintenance as well as plant modifications and emergencies.
• Must have proven leadership qualities and be able to organize and lead electrical and instrument maintenance team and manage the site organization independently.
