As an ERP Developer with a focus on data migration, you will play a key role in modernizing our financial systems. You will be responsible for migrating complex financial accounting data from SAP R/3 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ensuring data integrity, performance, and business continuity throughout the process.
You will work closely with Finance and IT stakeholders and contribute directly to the success of critical ERP transformation projects.
Analyze existing SAP R/3 financial accounting processes and data structures (FI)
Design and implement data migration concepts from SAP R/3 to Business Central
Develop and customize Business Central extensions using AL
Map, transform, and validate financial data, including:
General Ledger
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
Fixed Assets
Execute, monitor, and optimize test migrations
Ensure data quality, consistency, and auditability
Develop and customize interfaces and integrations
Collaborate closely with Finance and other specialist departments
Provide support during go-live and post-launch stabilization
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in ERP implementation or migration projects
Strong experience with SAP R/3, especially the FI module and data structures
Hands-on experience with Business Central development (AL)
Solid knowledge of data migration, data modeling, and SQL
Good understanding of financial accounting processes
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
Proven experience with SAP → Business Central migrations
Knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB)
Experience with REST / OData interfaces
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and the Power Platform
Experience using ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory)
Basic knowledge of ABAP
Very good English or German skills
Knowledge of both languages is a plus
