Project Title: Emergency Flood Response in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan
Training Title:
Participants: The training will target frontline healthcare workers engaged in the standard best practice for SRH and emergency response as outlined in the MISP. It will also include representatives from emergency authorities and SRH referral facilities to ensure coordinated and effective MISP implementation in Buner and Shangla Districts.
Number of Trainings: Three (3) days training

1. Background
Beginning in late June and lasting through mid-September, Pakistan faced its worst monsoon flooding in four decades, which significantly increased the vulnerability of women, girls, and others at risk groups. In such situations, access to essential Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services is often disrupted. The Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for SRH provides a set of life-saving priority actions required at the onset of emergencies to prevent excess maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality, mitigate gender-based violence risks, and ensure continuity of SRH services. Strengthening district capacities particularly through training frontline health workers is essential to improving SRH preparedness and response in KP province.
