Position Title: Data & Research Analyst (with GIS Expertise)
Location: DHA – Phase VIII, Lahore, Pakistan
Educational Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or any other relevant discipline.
Experience Requirements
● 2–3 years of professional experience in data research, analysis, and GIS-related work.
● Proven ability in SDG-related data research, data gap analysis, and producing evidence-based insights.
● Demonstrated experience in working with survey, institutional, and spatial datasets at national and subnational levels.
● Strong background in drafting analytical and narrative reports.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct in-depth research, data collection, and analysis to support SDG-related projects.
● Identify gaps in existing data, perform comparative research, and generate actionable insights.
● Work with survey, institutional, and spatial datasets to produce analytical outputs.
● Design and maintain geospatial visualizations including heat maps, thematic maps, and other GIS-based outputs.
● Integrate geospatial analysis into broader research findings and reports.
● Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all data and GIS outputs for reporting and decision-making.
● Collaborate with research and policy teams to translate data findings into knowledge products and publications.
● Stay updated with latest developments in data analytics and GIS tools and methodologies.
Skills Required
● Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
● Proficiency in data analysis software (SPSS, Stata, R, Python, or equivalent).
● Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS (experience with ArcGIS or similar tools is an advantage).
● Ability to handle shapefiles, manage spatial datasets, and apply geospatial analysis techniques.
● Excellent research writing and reporting abilities.
● Familiarity with national and subnational data systems.
● Strong visualization and presentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
