Job Description:
- Anthropometric Measurements:
Accurately perform MUAC, weight, and height/length measurements for children and pregnant/lactating women (PLWs) in accordance with BNP protocols.
- Record Management:
Maintain and regularly update TSFP and OTP registers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data recording standards.
- SBCC Awareness Sessions:
Conduct awareness sessions on Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC), focusing on the use of SNF, importance of nutrition, hygiene, and maternal and child health, as per BNP guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure all anthropometric equipment (e.g., scales, MUAC tapes, height/length boards) is clean, well-maintained, and securely stored.
- Reporting Support:
Support the FC Coordinator in preparing daily and weekly reports related to measurements and awareness sessions.
Additional Responsibilities (when and where required):
- Crowd Management:
In the absence of a designated Crowd Controller, manage beneficiary flow at the FC and maintain the Crowd Controller Register to ensure organized service delivery.
- Field Mobilization:
Participate in need-based field visits (BISP Cash Camps) to support social mobilization activities, in coordination with the Social Mobilizer and/or FC Coordinator.
- Follow-Up Support (SAM & MAM Cases):
Assist in the follow-up of defaulters and due cases (Yellow, Red, Black categories)—especially SAM and MAM cases—as directed by the FC Coordinator. Record feedback and assist with proper documentation of follow-up outcomes.
Education:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- At least 1–2 years of experience in community-based health/nutrition programs.
- Prior experience in conducting anthropometric measurements and working in CMAM/TSFP/OTP settings is preferable.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of basic nutrition concepts, particularly related to stunting, wasting, SAM/MAM.
- Proficient in performing MUAC, height/length, and weight measurements with accuracy.
- Experience in maintaining health/nutrition records (e.g., TSFP/OTP registers).
- Familiarity with SBCC (Social and Behavior Change Communication) approaches.
- Good interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in field settings.
- Ability to manage crowds and assist in client flow during busy FC hours.
- Basic data collection and reporting skills.
- Computer literacy: Able to use Android devices and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for reporting purposes.
Languages:
- Fluency in Urdu and the local dialect of the duty station.
Basic English communication skills, especially for reporting and coordination
