Male Counselor – National
Youth Helpline (NYHL)

Job Description:

Role Overview:

 We are looking for a male counselor to provide confidential telephonic support on psychosocial, reproductive health, and academic issues, as well as family conflicts, substance abuse, GBV and other youth-related concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer non-judgmental counseling in Pashto, English & Urdu
•  Assess mental health needs & provide psychological first aid
•  Maintain confidential records & refer to high-risk cases
• Participate in training & awareness campaigns

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Masters in Psychology or at least 16 years’ qualification in psychology , Clinical Psychology/M.Phil. and Clinical diploma.
2.  Proficiency in Pashto & Urdu (English is a plus)
3. at least 2 years’ Experience in counseling (preferably telephonic/online)
4.  Strong communication, empathy & crisis management skills
