Relevant Experience:

Qualification:

Job Description:

  • Assist in coordinating and conducting the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of project activities related to agricultural livelihoods (Agricultural Schemes, Farmers’ Field Schools, Exposure Visits etc)
  • Carry out different types of need assessments and surveys as and when required for the project implementation. Carry out different analysis of agricultural value chains, comparative economic analysis of different crops and compiling of reports
  • Form and Mature the Farmers Field Schools (FFS) in the target UCs
  • Assist and facilitate other team member in strengthening and or formation of Community Institutions (CIs) with particular focus on ensuring the active role in agricultural schemes implemented during the project
  • Provide Technical Trainings to FFS or CIs as and when required, develop ToRs for short term trainers as per project requirements and utilize their services effectively
  • Facilitate CIs and FFSs during consultative sessions for intervention prioritization through prioritization index
  • Holding/Organizing discussions/dialogues with village committees and FFS for suggesting different types of project interventions/inputs to meet the project objectives
  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager for different project interventions.
  • Provide regular feedback to Project Manager from key persons, including partners, community groups and vulnerable groups, on project / programme activities.
  • Assist the team and actively participate and contribute to development of plans and budgets, possibly longer term plans and proposals related to implementation of project activities
  • Assist in identifying, developing, or acquiring appropriate resources to support technical
  • components of the project / programme, including formation and guidance in registering the CI with relevant authorities.
  • Participate in development of monitoring and evaluation tools, and compile and enter data into computer data base for program monitoring and evaluations and surveys.
  • Provide requested narrative information for analysis and reporting
  • Develop model agriculture enterprises to support the economic well-being of communities through interventions designed to improve storage, processing, transport and general marketability of produce.
  • Prepare various training plans for the FFS/CIs
  • Identify successfully operative, viable, sustainable, and income generating agricultural model units/enterprises for exposure visits of farmers, onsite hands on practical training and replication of these models particularly the innovative ones, at target UCs of the project.  This should be initiated soon after joining.
  • Develop session plans for FFS at each stage of crops and vegetables production cycle grown in the project area
  • Develop MoU for utilization of the communal land by FFS for establishing model units, mobilize community active participation and supervise the activity technically and administratively
  • Understands Child centric programmes, child Protection & Safeguarding, Fraud etc global policies
  • Any other assignment assigned by the supervisor and management from time to time
