General Position Summary:

The PPM Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for validating prescriptions of TB patients uploaded through the Rx mobile application. Working closely with project coordinators, sub-recipients, and the PPM Pharmacy Coordinator, this role ensures smooth onboarding of new patients and general practitioners (GPs). Responsibilities include timely incentives transfer, active participation in workshops, and maintaining coordination with the field team of partner NGOs. Daily management of Rx Tracker activities, coupled with proactive problem-solving, makes this role pivotal. The PPM Pharmacy Assistant also undertakes additional tasks as directed by the supervisor, demanding attention to detail and effective communication for success in this dynamic position.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Validate prescriptions of TB patients uploaded through the Rx mobile application by pharmacies on a daily basis, using the web dashboard.
  • Coordinate with project coordinators and DFSs of sub-recipients to share validated prescriptions with the team.
  • Assist the PPM Pharmacy Coordinator and PPM Program team to ensure the onboarding of all new patients and general practitioners (GPs) into the PPM Program.
  • Ensure the timely transfer of incentives to pharmacies sharing prescriptions through the Rx Tracker mobile application on a monthly basis.
  • Assist the PPM Pharmacy Coordinator in conducting workshops and training sessions for pharmacies to effectively utilize the application.
  • Maintain continuous coordination with the field team and partner NGOs.
  • Maintain a daily dashboard of Rx Tracker activities, including received prescriptions, onboarded patients, and GPs, and provide weekly updates to the PPM Pharmacy Coordinator.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Accountability

Reports Directly To: PPM Pharmacy Coordinator

Reports Indirectly To: Senior Project Manager

Works Directly With: PPM Pharmacy Coordinator, Project Team, Senior Program Manager TB Program, Senior Technical Advisor Health, IT Unite, Finance and Operations teams.

Knowledge and Experience

  • B. Pharmacy or Pharm-D or equivalent degree from a registered university with HEC.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical projects, pharmaceutical industry, or relevant field.
  • Highly computer literate with capabilities in understanding latest digital technology.
  • Experience of working in Pharmaceutical Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of conducting capacity building workshops
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with proficiency in the use of web technologies and applications and dashboards, statistical software, and other standard office software such as Excel and Word are required.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in latest digital technology
