Position Title: Psychologist
Reports to: Project Manager
Core Job Responsibilities/Specifications:
The Psychologist’s responsibilities/specifications include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct MHPSS related activities and counseling sessions with GBV survivors;
- Provide specialized case management services to victims of GBV
- Referral services – where possible – to external service providers and providing legal support pathways.
- Assessing a beneficiary needs, abilities or behavior using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behavior;
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside the project staff;
- Devising and monitoring appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues;
- Offering therapy and treatments for difficulties relating to mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, addiction, social and interpersonal problems and challenging behavior due to GBV;
- Developing and evaluating service provision for clients;
- Providing consultation to other professions, encouraging a psychological approach in their work;
- Represent WEO positively and professionally both inside and outside the organization.
- Counseling and supporting careers;
- Carrying out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of healthcare settings.
- Developing the case Counselling mechanism and maintain documentation and reporting.
- Any other activity assigned time to time, by the organization.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Master in Psychology
- Computer knowledge,
- Stong command on Data analysis, SPSS, and Data Management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong report writing skills
- 5 years work experience in the same capacity
