A national non-profit organization requires dynamic professionals to fill the following position on contract basis in a donor-funded program.

Job Summary: The district coordinator will be in charge of implementing the Program’s technical and managerial activities at the district level in close coordination with district health authorities. s/he will work to strengthen the capacity of the programme at district, and community levels, in the areas of human resource building, social behavior change communication, and surveillance/M&E.

Job Description:

  • Act as a liaison between the Head Office and the Field area’s offices by making regular visits and interacting with management.
  • Plans, coordinates and implements all program activities within his/her designated districts.
  • Supervises activities in her/his respective districts.
  • Ensures that activities objectives are met and are in accordance with performance framework/budgeted work plan.
  • Works with technical staff to develop, plan, and implement capacity building activities.
  • Works with district health teams to create responsive tailored interventions including alerts, and outbreak response.
  • Ensures that the districts’ strategy and activities align with overall Program goals.
  • Organizes trainings at community/health center level and ensures data and information are collected at district level.
  • Ensure that each field office delivers value and excellence to the beneficiaries
  • Create and disseminate weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports on key indicators.
  • To carryout the logistic & supply chain management at the District warehouse as per organizational SOPs
  • Attend meetings as required

Education& Knowledge

Master’s degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Allied Medical Sciences, or Social Sciences from an HEC recognized University

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in health Programs and Program management (NGO/INGO preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent computer skills: MS office

 Preference will be given to local candidates and those having previous experience in the field of Malaria.
